Generally, translators remain in the background and are quasi invisible. however, once in a year they are in the center of attention! Since the 30th of September is celebrated globally …

… as the International Translation Day. The date corresponds to the feast of Saint Jerome (347-420), a Catholic theologian and erudite. The patron saint of translators translated the Old Testament from Greek and Hebrew to Latin and edited also the New Testament.

Congratulations to all translators! Today numerous events are held to recognize their work as intermediaries of languages and culture.
